CVE-2016-4982 1 Teether 1 Authd 2025-04-20 N/A
authd sets weak permissions for /etc/ident.key, which allows local users to obtain the key by leveraging a race condition between the creation of the key, and the chmod to protect it.
CVE-2016-9381 2 Citrix, Qemu 2 Xenserver, Qemu 2025-04-20 7.5 High
Race condition in QEMU in Xen allows local x86 HVM guest OS administrators to gain privileges by changing certain data on shared rings, aka a "double fetch" vulnerability.
CVE-2015-7553 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg, Kernel-rt 2025-04-20 N/A
Race condition in the kernel in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, kernel-rt and Red Hat Enterprise MRG 2, when the nfnetlink_log module is loaded, allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) by creating netlink sockets.
CVE-2017-1000405 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-20 7.0 High
The Linux Kernel versions 2.6.38 through 4.14 have a problematic use of pmd_mkdirty() in the touch_pmd() function inside the THP implementation. touch_pmd() can be reached by get_user_pages(). In such case, the pmd will become dirty. This scenario breaks the new can_follow_write_pmd()'s logic - pmd can become dirty without going through a COW cycle. This bug is not as severe as the original "Dirty cow" because an ext4 file (or any other regular file) cannot be mapped using THP. Nevertheless, it does allow us to overwrite read-only huge pages. For example, the zero huge page and sealed shmem files can be overwritten (since their mapping can be populated using THP). Note that after the first write page-fault to the zero page, it will be replaced with a new fresh (and zeroed) thp.
CVE-2017-11353 1 Yadm Project 1 Yadm 2025-04-20 N/A
yadm (yet another dotfile manager) 1.10.0 has a race condition (related to the behavior of git commands in setting permissions for new files and directories), which potentially allows access to SSH and PGP keys.
CVE-2017-12136 3 Citrix, Debian, Xen 3 Xenserver, Debian Linux, Xen 2025-04-20 N/A
Race condition in the grant table code in Xen 4.6.x through 4.9.x allows local guest OS administrators to cause a denial of service (free list corruption and host crash) or gain privileges on the host via vectors involving maptrack free list handling.
CVE-2017-12146 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-20 7.0 High
The driver_override implementation in drivers/base/platform.c in the Linux kernel before 4.12.1 allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging a race condition between a read operation and a store operation that involve different overrides.
CVE-2017-7533 2 Linux, Redhat 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 2 more 2025-04-20 7.0 High
Race condition in the fsnotify implementation in the Linux kernel through 4.12.4 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted application that leverages simultaneous execution of the inotify_handle_event and vfs_rename functions.
CVE-2017-7115 1 Apple 2 Iphone Os, Tvos 2025-04-20 N/A
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 11 is affected. tvOS before 11 is affected. The issue involves the "Wi-Fi" component. It might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via crafted Wi-Fi traffic that leverages a race condition.
CVE-2017-6979 1 Apple 4 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 1 more 2025-04-20 N/A
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.2 is affected. macOS before 10.12.5 is affected. tvOS before 10.2.1 is affected. watchOS before 3.2.2 is affected. The issue involves the "IOSurface" component. A race condition allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app.
CVE-2017-6615 1 Cisco 1 Ios Xe 2025-04-20 N/A
A vulnerability in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem of Cisco IOS XE 3.16 could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a race condition that could occur when the affected software processes an SNMP read request that contains certain criteria for a specific object ID (OID) and an active crypto session is disconnected on an affected device. An attacker who can authenticate to an affected device could trigger this vulnerability by issuing an SNMP request for a specific OID on the device. A successful exploit will cause the device to restart due to an attempt to access an invalid memory region. The attacker does not control how or when crypto sessions are disconnected on the device. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvb94392.
CVE-2016-9256 1 F5 10 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Analytics and 7 more 2025-04-20 N/A
In F5 BIG-IP 12.1.0 through 12.1.2, permissions enforced by iControl can lag behind the actual permissions assigned to a user if the role_map is not reloaded between the time the permissions are changed and the time of the user's next request. This is a race condition that occurs rarely in normal usage; the typical period in which this is possible is limited to at most a few seconds after the permission change.
CVE-2017-9677 1 Google 1 Android 2025-04-20 N/A
In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, in function msm_compr_ioctl_shared, variable "ddp->params_length" could be accessed and modified by multiple threads, while it is not protected with locks. If one thread is running, while another thread is setting data, race conditions will happen. If "ddp->params_length" is set to a big number, a buffer overflow will occur.
CVE-2017-6512 3 Canonical, Debian, File\ 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, \ 2025-04-20 5.9 Medium
Race condition in the rmtree and remove_tree functions in the File-Path module before 2.13 for Perl allows attackers to set the mode on arbitrary files via vectors involving directory-permission loosening logic.
CVE-2017-9676 1 Google 1 Android 2025-04-20 N/A
In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, potential use after free scenarios and race conditions can occur when accessing global static variables without using a lock.
CVE-2017-6001 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 1 more 2025-04-20 7.0 High
Race condition in kernel/events/core.c in the Linux kernel before 4.9.7 allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application that makes concurrent perf_event_open system calls for moving a software group into a hardware context. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-6786.
CVE-2017-5986 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-20 N/A
Race condition in the sctp_wait_for_sndbuf function in net/sctp/socket.c in the Linux kernel before 4.9.11 allows local users to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and panic) via a multithreaded application that peels off an association in a certain buffer-full state.
CVE-2017-5899 1 S-nail Project 1 S-nail 2025-04-20 N/A

CVE-2016-3111 2 Pulpproject, Redhat 3 Pulp, Satellite, Satellite Capsule 2025-04-20 N/A
pulp.spec in the installation process for Pulp 2.8.3 generates the RSA key pairs used to validate messages between the pulp server and pulp consumers in a directory that is world-readable before later modifying the permissions, which might allow local users to read the generated RSA keys via reading the key files while the installation process is running.
CVE-2015-5191 2 Linux, Vmware 2 Linux Kernel, Tools 2025-04-20 N/A
